Mezuzah cover from tree branches with the bark

Rabbi Zalman-Ber HaLevi Tornek was a cowboy and rancher in Colorado for over 15 years before making aliyah to Safed in 1995, where he is now a licenced sofer/scribe of Torah scrolls, tefilin and mezuzot. Lately, in addition to his Scribal Arts, he has been making intriguing mezuza covers from the bark of various trees in Safed itself. No two of his mezuza covers are exactly alike as they are hand crafted. Each one holds a 12 cm / 5" mezuza scroll (on kosher parchment).
